"Big Break on Tuesdays" is an initiative we started in 2006 as part of our response to the "Big Deal for Stockport" campaign promoted by the Message Trust that year. It is an attempt to open up the church to the public and office workers in the immediate area, to provide a friendly atmosphere to take time out during a busy working day. We offer light snacks and lunches between 12 til 2pm every Tuesday, our speciality is tasty toasted Panini's and good, fresh filter coffee (or refreshing English Tea for those who prefer).
As well as the "Big Break", the church has been involved in a number of other "Big Deal" events including the "Big Clean-up" during 2006 where church members cleaned up Thomson Street. We have also supported the work that the "Big Deal" has been doing in Stockport Schools like Avondale High , now relaunched as Stockport Academy, in Cheadle Heath.
The Church fully supports the national 'Hope 2008' initiative and has been used as a training venue for local churches coming together and as a base for open air evangelism to Stockport Town Centre.
